Ksenia Safina (*1988) studied Visual Arts at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts and at the University of Lausanne until 2016. Though focusing on painting, her works vary between drawings, graphics, and mixed media. Her art is a combination of abstract forms and hints of figurativeness. Sometimes not visible at first sight, one can find traces of architecture, people and plants in her works that want to be discovered. The interaction between mystical and everyday objects invites the viewer to look closer and to dwell in these unknown worlds for a while. Among other places Safina’s works were exhibited at the Han Art Space in Tainan, the Moscow International Art Salon, the ART TAINAN, ART TAIPEI and in the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 58th Biennale Arte of Venice. Since 2012 she's been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
